New Way Stationary Engines

Aim - To serve and support the New Way Stationary Engine restoration community.
There was a New Way Stationary Motor inclined to Hit and Miss. It was designed that way but intermittently it would missfire and this in the confines of the beekeepers shed fired my imagination, grabbing my senses. I just loved the sound of the New Way 3.5Hp working - likely fuelled by a too rich mixture.
With each missfire came the tell tale puff of blue smoke and via the old sawbench, the beekeeping manufacturing business was underway, alive and well. Alf was in his element. Romance, nah, hard work but Hoots the New Way went a long way in firing the imagination of times past running in the present. The present, after all, that's where life is, it's not in the past, but romancing the past, that's the present if you're living it.
The priveledge of life. Present and past is now!!! - alive.

New Way 7 Hp Horizontal Twin

AVAILABLE:
Finally today a watermarked copy of the New Way 7Hp Type "C" Twin Cylinder Engine is available in the library.

SIZE:
The Instruction is excellent with 36 pages loaded with information. Some is common to all New Way Air Cooled Engines but much of it is specific to the maintenance and management of the Horizontally Opposed twin cylinder engine. In particular there is much detail on the various ignition system options and starting procedures. Given their size these motors can be a real challenge to start if good procedure is not followed.

FORMAT:
The Instruction came with a colored / textured front and back cover which we have tried to maintain. Simply print your copy double sided if possible. (not essential) Assemble and trim all pages to the coloured cover pages allowing about extra 1/4 inch room (white) to staple along the left hand long edge. Once done use some book binding tape wrapped around the stapled edge to finish the job. A copy of the front page is shown here.

DOWNLOAD:
Simply click 7Hp Twin Instruction or later select it for download from the library.

We feel sure many New Way Enthusiasts will really enjoy this early model twin instruction.

We are still hoping to eventually find a copy of the Throttle Governed 8 and 12 Hp Horizontal Twin to make it available watermarked for free download. At this point though it still evades us.

PERSISTANCE:

Aussies can be a persistent breed and great hunters.

If you have a copy of or can help up get our hands on one of the instructions that covers the Throttle Governed 8 / 12 Hp Horizontal we would be really grateful. All we ask is a photocopy of it or even photograph each page and send us the files. We will do the rest, clean-up and watermark etc to protect the original precious document.

Enjoy the 7Hp Twin Instruction
